Why should I join? 

The #1 reason to join Kathryn Hughes PTA is for your child.  When you become a member you are helping the Hughes PTA give free events to the students and the community along with giving each teacher at our school a spending allowance for their classroom and so much more!!  Not only does it contribute to the general budget, but it’s also required for VOTING on PTA topics.   

How much is the membership? 

Membership to Kathryn Hughes PTA is $10 per person.  Hughes receives $4.75 and the remaining $5.25 goes to National, State, Council and also covers the PTA Insurance Requirement.

Who can join the PTA?

Parents, grandparents, teachers, siblings, relatives, neighbors, and all of your friends can sign up and support Hughes's community through a PTA membership.

Are there additional benefits for becoming a member?

Yes!  Members are offered perks from the California PTA as well as the National PTA.  These are updated on a regular basis so be sure to check out the links for the most up-to-date information.  A PTA Membership Card will be sent to you by email. You can use the card number to entail various Member Perks from California PTA and National PTA.

How do I sign up?

Click on the "Become A Member" button on the right top corner of this page.  PTA Membership envelopes are available in the school office, or you can simply put the following information on a blank envelope:

  • Your child's name
  • Classroom number 
  • Your name 
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address

Put the membership check (in favor of Kathryn Hughes PTA) or cash in the envelope and drop it the PTA Box in the school office.
